Home Health Aide Training Program

This is a 1-Week Home Health Aide Training Program which prepares CNA's for certification as a Home Health Aide by the State of California. This certification allows the Home Health Aide to function as an entry level worker on a health care team. Only individuals with a current Certified Nurse Assistant (CNA) certificate may enroll in a 40 Hour Home Health Aide Training Program to become a certified Home Health Aide (HHA). Students will learn the introduction to home health aide and agency role; interpretation of medical and social needs of people being served; personal care services; nutrition; cleaning and care tasks in the home. Classes include a combination of theory, skills lab, and clinical training.

Must be 18 years of age
Complete physical exam and TB test
Must submit Home Health Aide Application
Must pass background clearance check
Copy of Government Issued Photo ID
Copy of Social Security Card
Copy of BLS CPR card

PROGRAM DURATION

Monday- Friday Schedule

Theory Hours: 8:00 AM- 5:00 PM

Clinical Hours: 7:00 AM- 4:00 PM

1 Week (40 hours)- 20 Theory Hours and 20 Clinical Hours

(Clinical Training Sites are located in Fresno and Clovis)

Tuition- $500.00 (non-refundable)
State Exam Fee- $0.00
Estimated Fees for Materials, Supplies and Books- $100.00-$200.00*
Estimated Total Program Cost- $600-$700.00*

PAYMENT OPTIONS

Option 1- $500.00 for full payment
Option 2- Two payments of $250.00

(Deposit of $250.00 to start program. Second payment of $250.00 due before end of course date. Additional payment options upon request. Courses are non-refundable.)
